Many municipalities today produce biogas from food waste, which is an important part of a circular society. But as the transport sector electrifies, the need for compressed vehicle gas is decreasing. At the same time, demand for liquefied biogas (LBG) is increasing, particularly in heavy transport, shipping, and industry. To future-proof their investments, municipalities now need to consider liquefying their biogas. This enables it to be used where it delivers the greatest climate benefit – in sectors where electrification is not enough.
It all starts with waste. To maximize environmental benefits, organic waste must be collected, digested, and used efficiently. Biogas is a natural solution, and liquefaction is the next important step. Listen to our CEO, Jonas Stålhandske, explain the opportunities!
