Get to know our CFO Annika Sköldberg

Can you tell us a bit about your role and what you do here at the company?
I'm the CFO, i.e. the head of finance, and I keep track of the company's finances and also some regulatory things such as quarterly reports and any loans. I also take care of some HR issues.

What is the best thing about working at Biofrigas?
For me, it is important that there is a higher purpose and I think it is great to work with a company that can do good for the climate. I really believe in our product. I also enjoy working in a small company where you know everyone. There are short decision-making paths from ideas to decisions and I have very nice, competent colleagues.

What does a typical working day look like for you?
At the moment we're in the middle of a capital raising round and a lot of my time is spent on that. Otherwise, I analyse outcomes and forecasts and keep track of our finances and cash flow.

What are the biggest challenges in your job, and what do you like most about solving them?
We are just in the start-up phase with our sales, which means we have to find money in other ways. We are very grateful to the investors who have chosen to invest in us and we need to keep an eye on the finances and manage the money we have received well so that it lasts a long time. Because the company is small, we need to find alternative ways of doing things that utilise the resources that are available in an efficient way, and this gives everyone great opportunities to be creative and influence different solutions.

What inspires you in your work?
As I mentioned earlier, working on something that has a higher purpose and offers a product that I believe in. I also like working with competent colleagues and that it is a varied job where I get the opportunity to have a broad role.

What do you like to do when you are not working? Any hobbies or interests?
I like to exercise, preferably outdoors such as skiing (both cross-country and downhill), cycling, canoeing, etc., then I have children who are interested in sports, so many hours are spent at football pitches and in hockey arenas. A particularly nice memory was when three of us from Biofrigas ran around Mont Blanc last summer.

How do you stay motivated and engaged in your work?
I am curious and solution-oriented. I like to find alternative solutions to different problems and see if it is possible to streamline tasks.

Can you tell us about something fun or unexpected you have experienced in your job?
It was a very nice feeling when we were listed on Spotlight and in connection with the closing of our investment rounds.

If you could describe your job in three words, what would they be?
Qualified, Stimulating, Varied
