Biofrigas signs nine climate pledges within the framework of Climate 2030, an initiative from the Västra Götaland region and Länsstyrelsen of Västra Götaland.

We have adopted the following promises:
1. We will calculate our total climate impact and have targets for annual emission reductions.
2. We will seek green financing for new ventures.
3. We will have a climate-controlling travel policy for sustainable business travel.
8. We will have a policy for remote work that allows home work all day.
16. We will analyze the climate impact of our purchases.
17. We will reduce the climate impact from purchases.
18. We will actively explore the potential for circular business models in the business.
19. We will reduce the amount of waste in our operations.
25. We will have 100 percent renewable electricity in the company's electricity contract.

In Västra Götaland, we have one of the most ambitious regional climate goals in Sweden. By 2030, we shall be a fossil-independent region. This means that the emissions of greenhouse gases must be reduced by 80 percent from the 1990 level by the year 2030. In addition, the emissions of greenhouse gases from the West Swedes' consumption, regardless of where in the world they occur, must be reduced by 30 percent compared to 2010. The emissions of greenhouse gases are decreasing, but not fast enough for us to reach our goal. Now is the time to pick up the pace. In West Sweden, we have long experience of successfully adapting to structural changes. By trying to be pioneers, we can also inspire others.
The initiative brings together companies and industry organizations, municipalities and municipal associations, universities and institutes, associations and other organizations in Västra Götaland that want to take a stand and contribute to the transition to a climate-smart region.
Climate 2030 is part of the implementation of the Regional Development Strategy for Västra Götaland 2021-2030.
